Form Representatives
The purpose of the Form Representative is as follows :
- to encourage other parents to voice their opinions, concerns, ideas and thanks and to convey these to the Headmaster
- to guide any new parent in the school and answer all those questions that eventually become quite obvious, but to start with seem rather daunting
- to act as a two-way means of communication between all the parents in the school and the Headmaster
- to be a support to anyone within their Form who needs support within the school
St Richard's has a wide open-door policy throughout the school, whereby parents are encouraged to talk direct to the Headmaster or relevant teacher. However, there are occasionally situations where the parent involved may feel more able to talk to a fellow parent - it is this sort of situation for which the Form Representative has been created.
The Form Representatives meet with the Headmaster twice a term and will endeavour to give all parents plenty of notice prior to each meeting and to circulate the minutes of the meeting afterwards. Any points that need actioning will be followed up and reported back to the parents.
