For the Full Boarding weekend, it was a slumber party theme for all 53 children who stayed the
night. The school was plunged into
darkness, the rules explained, and off charged the children as they attempted to solve the
mystery of the gruesome murder. However all was not plain sailing – first they could be accosted by all sorts of ‘Nasties’
lurking behind curtains (heavily disguised as spookies – Kiera and Rowan,
vampires – Liberty and Flavia, and Spiderman!! (Fabian), then they happened upon
devilish characters (some resembling members of staff, some Gap students) but all with
mischief on their minds.Providing the teams successfully answered the general knowledge questions, they were then able to work their way through a very long list of murder suspects, murder weapons and murder venues. It took over an hour before a team successfully completed the task. There was a great deal of screaming to be heard and no one character let the children have it easy. With thanks to Count Dracula (Mr. Cheesman), Professor Plum (Boz), Miss Peacock (Mrs Mundy), Miss Scarlet (Miss Cook), Colonel Mustard (Hardy), Brigadier Camouflage (Alex), Miss White (Miranda), Countess Green (Amy) and the murderess herself Doreen Dody (Jen) and to Mrs Cheesman who organises it all and is thinking of patenting her version of the game!
