OUR MISSION STATEMENT
At St Richard's we aim to offer a caring, stimulating and structured community underpinned by traditional and Catholic Values. We celebrate children as individuals and cater for their needs, both academic and pastoral, allowing them to develop self-confidence, respect, a love of life and an optimistic and enthusiastic vision of the future. St Richard's takes the words presented in the 'Mission Statement' and turns them into reality.
A TRADITIONAL CATHOLIC CO-EDUCATIONAL PREPARATORY SCHOOL
St Richard's is a Catholic boarding and day school, including a pre-preparatory section, for about 140 boys and girls set in 35 acres of Herefordshire countryside. Non-Catholic children are welcomed and readily absorbed into the society of St Richard's, adding greatly to the spiritual life of the school which combines a comfortable, busy but homely atmosphere with academic and devoted individual care.
The traditional character of St. Richard's, based on the concept of an extended family, is maintained by the headmaster who takes personal care of the pastoral welfare of each child. The staffing policy ensures a blend of experience and continuity. Many of the staff live alongside the children in the spacious confines of Bredenbury Court.
