CAFOD - Catholic Overseas Development Agency

CafodTwice a year in the Michaelmas and Lent Term, St Richard's, has a Family Fast Day where lunch is soup, bread and apples.  The school donates the lunch money to CAFOD and families can donate further if they wish, using the envelopes the children bring home.

The Harvest Fast Day this term raised £302.50.
Lent Fast Day is on Friday, 2nd March 2012.
All donations we make between 17th February and 17th May, will be matched pound for pound by the Government.

CAFOD works in many countries to tackle poverty and encourage development.  Please click the title to follow the link.

A few hints for understanding the matches in the School Calendar

Wednesday finishes
at 13:00 unless your child is involved in matches or staying for
'Fun and Games'.

Match times are generally at 14:30 unless otherwise specified.

As always,
please check the website for any changes to
location and time.
On the Summer Timetable the games session is at 16:00; and for the Winter Timetable games is played at 14:15.

However, for Forms I & II, on the Winter Timetable, on Tuesday and Thursday, games is played from 15:45 to 17:15;
on the Summer Timetable, on Tuesday and Thursday, games is played from 14:10 to 15:45.

In the Michaelmas term the Summer Timetable runs from the beginning of term to half term and the Winter Timetable runs from half term to the end of term; in the Lent term the Winter Timetable runs throughout; and in the Summer term the Summer Timetable runs throughout.

Please note that this is a guideline only
and is not set in stone.
The sports played this term are Football, Netball, Cross Country, some Hockey and Swimming.
Hockey matches
and games sessions
are often played
on the Astro turf at
Bridge Street, Leominster
HR6 8EA

 This is 1/4 mile on the left, along the B4361 heading north out of Leominster.
The boys teams are referred to as 1st XII, U11X Boys and U9 Boys;
and the girls are Senior Girls (A or B), Colts Girls (U11 & U10, maybe A & B teams) and U9/U8 Girls.
Again this is a generalisation and sometimes it may vary.
